Maki Co Boutique was born in Cali, Colombia – the world’s salsa capital and a city known for its warmth, rhythm, and color. Cali is a place where the sun shines year-round, the average temperature stays around 26°C (79°F), and joy fills the streets with music, art, and dance.
From this vibrant city, full of life and creativity, we wanted to bring a piece of its flavor and soul to the world.
Maki Co is a family-owned business inspired by our Colombian roots. It began in the 1990s, when one of our family members started crafting handmade leather sandals and artisanal jewelry. Their unique designs and dedication to quality quickly captured people’s attention, perfectly suited for Cali’s tropical climate and laid-back lifestyle.
As time went by, more members of our family joined the journey – blending tradition with creativity. Today, our collections include handwoven bracelets, gold-plated and 18k gold-detailed pieces, and jewelry made with techniques learned from Indigenous communities near Cali. These artisans are the heart of our craft, providing sustainable materials and keeping ancient techniques alive.
